Sport at St Joseph's
Sport and physical activity play a big role in the life of a student at St Joseph's. Physical well being is an important component in the development of children, and this is reflected in a wide and varied physical education programme. Our large and spacious school site encourages the children to play, and they take full advantage of the opportunity.
Many school sporting events in the Mackenzie are collaboratively run by the Kahui Ako of schools, so schools often join together for competition. Fairlie Primary, Lake Tekapo, Albury, Mt Cook, Cannington, and ourselves enjoy these opportunities to get together as a community and challenge ourselves.
Events include: swimming, cross country, squash, netball, triathlon, skiing, touch rugby, rippa rugby, ice skating, hockey, and athletics.
