Wow, we are half way through term one and we have already been very busy. We had a Ignition day at school that focused on ‘Disasters in the Philippines’
Children experienced typhoons, earthquakes and flooding. This was a real ‘eye opener’ for the children and they are beginning to realise how lucky they really are in Fairlie.

This term our focus is on Native Birds and Conservation. We will be learning about how to care and look after our environment. We are going to be fundraising for the ‘Save the Kiwi’ fund and in week 4 we will be visiting Talbot Forest and the Timaru Museum to learn more about this.
We will also be preparing for our School Nativity and Athletics.
